This month, I’ve covered city local boards, including school and utility boards around the country. Once you have candidates for these boards, though, what happens next? Part of candidate recruitment is also having a plan for the candidates. While I would recommend they look back at a lot of this diary series and several books on how to run a campaign, these local boards often have different challenges in their campaign efforts.
Because many of these races are small in voting population and often non-partisan, they present unique problems that aren’t a part of larger, partisan races. Your candidate has given you a yes. What’s next?
